Laptop Day Off

Hello. I'm typing this after my laptop had done getting repaired.

My dear laptop is not one that has very good condition. I have been using this from late 2010 and it had never been repaired nor regularly cleaned (I'm talking about the body) up until two days ago (May 24 2015, Sunday). After all these years the laptop got easily heated up and loud and sometimes it shut down itself in the middle of the loud noise. And on last week it went louder (from wheeeeng to whrrrrrrrr) and restarting it wasn't a help; I should shut it down and turn on the power button. But it didn't always work too. Oh, and from more than a month ago, the browser couldn't work well too. It only could open a few websites while the other laptops in this house could do it regularly. Then I decided to bring it to a repairman.

Shortly, my laptop got cleaned and re-installed. They said it was a big mess; the dust inside its body. The dust is really thick that it made the fan worked hard. It's true, I can feel the difference of the performance before and after. And they re-installed my laptop so that I can work with my browser again. Yay! They helped me to backup the files I saved but I forgot to save the Photoshop hahahah. Guess I should find it first to make more artworks.

Anyway, I should celebrate this baby's comeback!

Stretched Perspective

I made it in one of those boredom days. I wanted to make a tomboy character but it turned out to be more like a teenage boy. I should learn more of it...

When I coloring this picture, I was thinking of sea. I played with bright colors and wind. And freedom. Sea is not my favorite spot to spend my holidays (not in a bad way), so it's kinda rare to have sea as my muse.

And his writing position? Well, I don't have any idea of it.

Which One: Hideous

One day when I check out Haruka Kurebayashi's Instagram, there was a picture of a two-toned teddy bear which was half good and half devilish. The doll itself had two colors: black on devilish side and white on good side. It made me want to draw this piece. I use teddy bear too, I can't help it! I mainly use white and some red, yellow, and blue for the attributes. Everything can be suspicious as these white bears; the devil who is captivating or the angel who has evil intention.

Lady Silver Hair

This is probably the brightest piece I have had. There was a little inspiration came from Donatella Versace's iconic hair (I don't know if she had other hair colors), which is simple yet outstanding to me. It is long, straight, and powerfully blonde. So powerful that I even didn't want to have space for those black lines.

It was a bit hard to me to get a match color for this brightness. I wanted to give some blue, but then I thought I needed to reduce my blue hue. I wanted to give some orange but the result wasn't as I expected. We sometimes have those color-picking times, don't we? After I chose purple, I still found it hard to get the right gradation and brightness. This might be one of those simplest pieces I have but I enjoyed myself finding the right colors.

In The Name of Tempe

I was hungry when drawing this. Tempe is a traditional finger food here in my country. It is made from soy and yeast. I personally like it fried with flour mix, but in this piece I draw them crisp-fried (because if I drew them fried with flour mix they would look like sweets :p) (did I say it right? Crisp-fried?).

Below is another style of coloring.

p.s: fried tempe = tempe goreng. And, did you notice that her hair resembles heart shape?
