Flower Scent

Firstly, I'd like to say Happy Children's Day in Indonesia! May our good hopes will be fulfilled by them in the near future, may they will be our next heroes and heroines. Let's be their good teachers.

This piece is not related to Children's Day... perhaps I need to prepare myself to celebrate big days next year? Even though, I really enjoyed the process of making this. Especially its coloring.

The title is actually a bit out of the theme. I was doodling when I found something good to be brought up to another piece of paper and be drawn properly, it was this character. Then the decoration was put on on the last minutes because I needed to give this girl something good to be pictured with. Then an imagination of a scented girl popped up in my mind.

A little fact here: I always feel lose to a slim girl, but I would feel loser to a scented girl, no matter how slim or curvy she is. Of course I always use antiperspirants/deodorant (whichever you call them), and I have six, seven different perfumes/cologne to use alternately, plus some bottles of perfumed body lotion, but there are some days where a random girl come to me with her glorious scent made of mystery and fairy dust. This kind of girls always make me want to splash on my perfume again and again yet feel stink at the same time.

So, the girl in the picture is that kind of girl. Plus a thin body, a nice dress, and some flower petals... Obviously I'm K.O.

Before I'm out of the ring, I want to show you another version of this piece. It's using black lines which, of course, was made by my drawing pen. Yep, it's mid 2015 and I still draw my things manually. An still on recycled papers.

Gothicia

This is how Gothicia full set looks like, along with a silhouette of a bird as the background. The bird is my old doodle and I use it here because I think birds go well with it. To me, birds add some noticeable details to gothic style, especially steampunk style. No wonder why we find some of them when we search gothic things around the internet. They go well with lolita style too. Maybe I'll use more birds on upcoming artworks, heehee.

See you on next sets!

New Blog Header

Truthfully, I'd been wanting to do this since weeks or months ago. I kinda bored seeing my blog's layout, especially its title and description. They are so... tasteless. Look at it.

Read it. The artworx. It's one of my hobbies. Meh.

Since I always make fictional things here, I think my blog's title should represent fictional things too. So today I found a more suitable change for them.

I'm not a witch, I don't have a castle, and the only library I tend to visit is my university's library. It's fictional!
I hope it's a good new beginning! It's like Idul Fitri where we start fresh and pure, hahahah... What a coincidence of the moments.

Gothicia 4

In lolita style, this gothic dress probably has the simplest design ever. It mostly uses plain-colored fabrics like black and white, and tartan red fabric. Black, white, and red represent my classic theme in this set, along with other dark colors like greyish navy and dark blue which showed previously.

This dress is not like other lolita dresses which have more ruffles and layered fabrics, instead, it is more like a school uniform with its collar and straight sleeves. Its colors can be interchanged between the fabrics without messing it, too. Look at this:

From left to right: 1. Original colors; 2. Black stays; 3. Red stays; 4. White stays

This is the last piece of the set. Which one do you like?

Happy Lebaran!

Eid Mubarak! Selamat hari raya Idul Fitri 1436 H.

Probably most of you realize that I am rarely say any greeting in this blog, like on New Years, Christmas, or Ramadan or other holy days like today. Perhaps I have been starting to have this habit since I made some birthday messages before... those posts move me to say greetings again.

Minal aidin wal faizin, mohon maaf lahir dan batin. Please forgive my mistakes.

Gothicia 3

Jump onto the next part of set. This design is similar with the first one with the lace ends on the pants and blazer's sleeves and the fabric. It also has a hat, fedora, and white shoes. My main inspiration here, aside from my dream mentioned on Gothicia 1 and my other dream, is a gentleman that is always pictured by some high fashion brands.

As a completion of designing this piece, I looked back to the first design (Gothicia 1) and I thought that it would be an unfinished business if I don't create its couple, so here is the menswear version of it.

Gothicia 2

We're still on this set. Gothicia is basically a classic gothic designs, so I put my focus on formal wears. This time I show you a plain trench coat from the set. I purposely designed it with plain color because I don't want to use more colors. It would make them be near to modernity where there are so many designs using various colors. So for these coats I use navy and orange hues.

The only detail I put on them is their collars: they have two sides with different colors. The inner side uses navy and orange stripes and the outer side is plain. It's fun to design simple matters.

A Cake of Eyeballs

Someone had told me in front of our friends that I am a melancholic person. He didn't tell it precisely that way, though. He was like, "Melancholic, romantic, a listener of gloomy radio." Even though I am not a radio listener for the last five years. When I funnily asked him the reason, he said it was because my point of view in romance which involved one-sided love, secret admiring, the feelings that aren't so open yet steady for a long time. Yep, that time I was this kind of person. Perhaps I still am until now.

In this blog post I put on this piece of a birthday message again. This time this birthday message is not including an apology message, it is purely a birthday message... and a sign that I secretly know a certain person's birth date hahahah. This person and I were not close enough and we had only one chance to talk much and that was when we accidentally in the same business. Other than that chance, we only did some eye contacts. Poor, huh? We don't even maintain a continuing communication, too. Basically we don't know each other other than our names.

In the picture there is a cake put on a common chair. That chair is a secret message; if I explain more about it I'm afraid that person will know and I will be humiliating myself. The cake itself is decorated with eyeballs as a symbol of our habit exchanging eye contact hahahah...

Well, by this chance I wish you happy birthday, sightseeker.

Gothicia 1

Before I drew this design, I had a strange dream of turning to a thin tall ghostly monster with a beautiful black dress after some girls insulted me in that very dream. I don't know why it ended up as a set of fashion designs. I still want to draw my self representation from that dream, though.

As I mentioned, I am going to post a set again this time. I play with almost-monochrome colors as this is a classic color playing for gothic-themed outfits. On the picture is a plain pale beige long dress combined with greyish-navy-and-pale-greyish-blue-striped blazer. (Woah such colors.) Fishnet added as another detail there, at the end of the dress and the blazer sleeves. The bowler hat is inspired from 1920's style and using the similar colors with the clothes.

And white boots, synthetic leather I prefer, because why not?
