Dried Tears (reliving my goth artworks! + talk a bit about Lia Itzy)

Hello! It seemed like I was channeling my inner goth while making this artwork... Let's get into it.
My favorite kind of artwork is actually gothic. Or emo, you name it. I even have a label tag for my gothic artwork so that I can find them easier in this blog. Here are some of my favorite ones listed from the oldest one:

Lately I was having a thought of reliving my goth artworks. I wanted to see how it would turn out after I didn't make them for a few months, if not years. So I had a concept of this: a girl in short black hair with trails of her eyeliner over her cheeks, and a choker.

Dried Tears is a represent of someone whom just getting up from her misery. She might have cried a lot and now, after her tears dried, she gained her strength to face her life again. I'm pretty sure most of us have experienced this kind of situation. Now playing: Paramore - Ignorance

When I was in the process of creating it, I was a bit confused in choosing the other color for her. Yes I chose black for this and that but what about the others??? I wanted to have "soft" red for her lips, light blue with a dash of purple for her clothes, and I pursued khaki for the background. Got the clothes' color. For the lips and background, it looks like I need more bravery in coloring them. Although, I like how the lips color turn out. I also love the hair! I was really working on it a lot. And the eyes too!

Recently, a member of Itzy, Lia, made an appearance on their anniversary live. She has been on hiatus for ten months. On that live she has a surprisingly short hair in brown, It's giving a fresh look since she usually kept her long hair whether in a ponytail or loose. When I saw her new hair I was surprised to see how Lia fit my artwork concept in some way. I think that was why I pursued khaki, because Lia wore a khaki jacket in the live.

So, after a long time not creating gothic artworks, I can see the result is pastelgoth. 😂 Black choker and bubblegum top. That reminds me; I lost my chokers, I only have the one with an intricate design in it, which is itchy when worn. This artwork might get darker and more intense if I pushed myself a little bit more to add the colors. I think the result is acceptable. It's refreshing to create my favorite style of artwork. See you on the next artwork!
