Hello! Welcome to another blog update. Today I have a little back story of this artwork. This artwork, The Prehnite Castle, is inspired by a dream that came to me around early May 2025.
Di awal Mei aku mimpi ketemu seorang wanita. Dia ngajak aku datang ke rumahnya, letaknya di atas tebing yang ditumbuhi rumput hijau dan ada danau atau sungai besar di bawahnya. Udaranya bersih. Suasananya damai.
In early May I had a dream of meeting a lady. She took me to her house, located up on a cliff where green grass grew and a huge lake or river sat under. The air was clean. It was peaceful.
Kami memasuki rumahnya. Kami duduk di kursi kecil dekat dengan lantai. Dia nunjukin gelang demi gelang yang terbuat dari manik-manik kristal. Semuanya pake kristal yang sama, cuma berbeda di ukuran, bentuk, dan inklusi. Semuanya kehijauan dan banyak yang ada bintik hitam di dalamnya. Di dalam mimpi itu wanita itu bilang ke aku kalo semuanya adalah gelang prehnite. Dia udah nunjukin gelang prehnite sebanyak 500+ di dalam mimpiku. Betah banget ya aku di situ.
We came into her house. We sat on a small chairs close to the floor. She showed me bracelets and bracelets made of crystal beads. They were made from the same crystal, just different in size, shapes or inclusions. They were all greenish and most of them have black dots inside. In the dream she told me that they were prehnite bracelets. She had shown me 500+ prehnite bracelets in my dream. Look how patient I was.
Di dunia nyata, waktu itu aku ga tau apa itu prehnite. Gara-gara mimpi itu aku jadi cari tau soal prehnite bahkan sampe konsultasi di ChatGPT. Ternyata prehnite punya penampilan yang sama dengan yang ada di mimpiku! Warnanya hijau dengan bintik hitam yang kalo kata ChatGPT epidot. Tapi hijau bukan warna kesukaanku. Jadi mungkin prehnite bermakna sesuatu dalam hidupku.
In real life, at that time I didn't know what prehnite is. Because of that dream I searched about prehnite even I consulted ChatGPT. It turned out prehnite has the same look with the ones in my dream! They are green with black dots which according to ChatGPT called epidote. But green is not my favorite color. Then maybe prehnite means something in my life.
Sekarang kalo aku ditanya apa kristal favoritku, jawabanku adalah kunzite. Coba di search deh, dia cannnnntikkkkkk banget. Siapa tau lain kali aku bikin artwork yang terinspirasi oleh kunzite.
Now if someone asked me what my favorite crystal is, my answer is kunzite. Search it up, she's really beeeautiful. Maybe one day I will make an artwork inspired by kunzite.
