Define Me

Honestly, I had mixed feeling when working on this piece. I sketched big, I drew big, and I wanted to put on messy lines to it. Also, I wanted to use vivid colors. They were not really stood out since watercolors have tendencies to show the pale ones, but at least I chose the colors I wanted.

The piece is inspired by the aesthetic of sukajan jackets. My first time encounter with a sukajan was when my favorite idol group, JKT48, had a collaboration with a fashion label that produced sukajan jackets. To me, sukajan jackets are bold and stylish, kind of stating that the wearer is independent and capable to be a leader. They are stiffly combine toughness and delicateness, yet the output is cool.
